It's an old keybinding used by old people who remember the ancient days of
computers. I recall proposing removing it a year or two ago and they all turned
up and said no. Maybe in 40 years we can try again.

What conflict are you seeing? We can generally solve them on a case-by-case
basis, as with Bug 436362.
