            Bug ID: 459845
Summary: System gets unresponsive when aborting screen fade out
                    animation
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: grave
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: bixilon at bixilon.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I have a very low screen timeout (1 minute) on my laptop and before the screen
turns off, there is an animation that makes the screen darker and darker and
then turns it of.

There are 2 bugs:
 - (only visual, minor) the screen flickers shortly up again before it gets
turned off
 - When interrupting the animation (i.e pressing a key or moving the mouse) the
screen gets lit up again, I can move the cursor but I can not click on
anything, the keyboard is not working and key combinations are also not
working. I need to close the lid of the laptop, go into stand by and then it
start it again and everything is back to normal

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set low screen timeout
2. Wait for the screen to turn off (don't do anything with it)
3. Exactly when the animation is there, move the mouse or press a key
