            Bug ID: 461502
Summary: crash when trying to make a post
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Tokodon
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Slackware
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general

  Target Milestone: ---

Hi Carl & contributors,
thanks for making Tokodon!

When I click on the Toot button at the top right of the window, the program
crashes every time.
After such a crash, the program crashes at its start already, unless I delete
the config file with the access token or start it with `LANG=en_US.utf-8
LC_ALL=C bin/tokodon` (I don't know which of the two variables does it).

I am however able to make replies, so it's not the posting form in itself but
only that button that causes the crash.

I must admit this is kind of a whacky setup. Slackware has KWindowSystem (and
rest of frameworks) at 5.90. When I tried compiling Tokodon I found I need
>=5.91 because of KWindowSystem::updateStartupId, so I built KWindowSystem and
extra-cmake-modules as a dependency both to 5.91. I didn't experience any
instability with the mix of 5.90+5.91 KDE/Plasma parts. But feel free to ignore
this if you think that's the cause. I'm currently on a throttled internet
connection of 8 KiB/s, so not inclined to rebuild all of KDE/Plasma.

If you'd rather have me report via invent.kde.org I can do that.

Have a nice day :)
Jay
