            Bug ID: 436656
Summary: Being able to enable global env vars in system
                    settings
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: toadfield at tutanota.com
  Target Milestone: ---

What I want is a menu in the settings that is called "Global Environment
Variables" and there you can add and delete environment variables that will be
used globally.
I would find that handy so I don't have to look up which files I have to edit
to enable global env vars every time I use another distro.
It would be really cool for new users, cause they usually hate editing config
files.
The only question is,which file should be used for that function, but the file
should work with xorg and wayland and all modern init systems, but I only know
how to do that with systemd, you need to edit
"/usr/lib/systemd/user-environment-generators/99-profile.local.sh" afaik.
