In the games themself it shows a higher resolution and I see that it looks
better,but I can look later if it changes the resolution of my monitor itself.

Why should that be a quality loss?
I mean if I set 2160p in the game and it downscales to 1080p,then wouldn't the
game look better?
Cause then it would work like ssaa.
And if I don't want the higher resolution in game,I could just set 1080p in
game.
