This bug is still extant
I've got this problem working with a Logitech M705 wireless optical mouse and a
large display (3840x2160). I've tried fiddling with the mouse Acceleration rate
but the mouse still moves by the same amount (i.e. about 1:1) which is murder
on the RSI getting the mouse pointer from one side of the screen to the other
