I don't have any GTK-based widgets (not sure if it even has some system like QT
for that), but as far as I can tell, it doesn't affect any GTK2 nor GTK3
application. OTOH I don't really use any GTK app that would show a pop-up that
would allow typing.

I'm not sure if it might be a coincidence, but I think it tends to happen more
often after I close the IBus panel from the system tray.
