To be clear the 4) point you click/tap on touchscreen.

4.) Depending on your settings in "System settings/Desktop
behaviour/Workspace/"
  a)Single click to open files and folders
  b)Double click to open files and folders/single click select
either try to double click or single click on the dropped icon on desktop by
using touch screen.
