Bug ID: 401551
Summary: The absence of network connection status at login
screen
Product: kde
Version: unspecified
Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: said.fox at gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Unlike Gnome, the KDE login screen does not has any network status indicator.
Here I don't mean by offering connection to all users or not, or even the
ability of creating connection. I only meant by a status that shows the state
of the network connection of the computer.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Turn on a computer that has Kubuntu 18.04 (probably any other version too)
2. Wait till the login screen appears.
3. Look for any message or indicator about the default or the active network
status.
OBSERVED RESULT
There is no any indicator about the network status.
EXPECTED RESULT
To see an indicator that describes the network status, such as which Wifi
network is connected and what's the connection strength?
