System hangs and will not go to sleep, and it cannot be awoken. Monitors are
off but the system still seems like it's running as I can still hear the cpu
fan spinning.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put to sleep

Actual Results:  
System hangs, monitors off but cpu fan running.

Expected Results:  
System to shut down and sleep to ram.
