I have experienced both situations depicted on the two attachments, on
different installations: the one with the jagged edges on a VirtualBox
installation and on a laptop using latest NVidia driver, the one with the
almost empty window on my desktop using NVidia 340 driver. All installations
are Arch Linux, the VirtualBox one is a fresh one.
