What I meant was, when the mouse stops working, is there something I could do
like type in the terminal to look at some system setting, reload a module or
have some monitoring utility running in the background so when my mouse stop
working I can use my keyboard to switch focus and look at something.
If not this, then is there some system log file i could look at that might help
detect when/if the mouse or related software module is getting deactivated.
the mouse problem is random and I need to get stuff done so playing with a live
CD doesn't work for me to help with diagnostic.
