Since a few days Emacs rendering under KDE Plasma is unberably slow: it takes
several seconds to render the whole window (or redraw it if displayed text
changes after PageDown, for example). This happens only with Emacs _and_ KDE
combination: it is neither reproducible on other programs, nor on Emacs under
different DE (e.g. Xfce). It is also not an inherent problem in KDE 5: it used
to work fine for some time. I'm not sure when exactly it started, probably
about a week ago.
