Bug ID: 334298
Summary: baloo seg fault
Classification: Unclassified
Product: kde
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Keywords: drkonqi
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: cas at ccsims.net
Application: akonadi_baloo_indexer (4.13)
KDE Platform Version: 4.13.0
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed: Twice the crash occurred
while I was away from the computer. The kde gui disappeared and could not be
restarted with keyboard or mouse input. Going to a konsole with ctrl-alt-F6
allowed starting kde with startx. Once the crash assistant popped up during
this ctrl-alt-F6 kde session, though that may have occurred because of the
earlier crash.
- Unusual behavior I noticed: Before this happened, I noticed that baloo was
completely occupying one of the (eight, i7) cpu's for a long time after
start-up, generating a lot of disk activity and hurting performance.
