Yeah, I think you are right. I haven't found a way to get XBMC to play a file
from the context menu, and I have seen mpv fail for the smb kio slave.

I apparently had a misunderstanding about what the whole kio thing was. I had
assumed it was like gvfs, as in VLC would have no idea it was streaming from
elsewhere, whereas it is apparently just a view in dolphin.

Sorry for wasting your time.

I have tried to mark it as Resolved Invalid. I guess switch it back if I
shouldn't have.
