As it turns out it was related to powerdevil. I think I have moved the
powerdevil file and still had the issue but the only module responsible for the
memory leak seems to be it.
Interestingly powerdevil is part of kdebase4-workspace which still is KDE 4.11
unlike most other kde packages. So I have removed the package for now and with
it powerdevil.
Is this a packaging issue or is there no powerdevil anymore in newer KDE
versions?
