Same behaviour on ROSA Desktop Fresh Distribution with KDE 4.12.2 and NIKON
D5100 !!!

camera:/ is empty as simple user
camera:/ shows DCIM repertory as root user
gwenview show nothing
Only Digikam or gphoto2 are able to import images as normal user
