I also see this with 4.10.5 in debian unstable. After leaving the computer on
for the night (I run simulations for my thesis), something breaks in kde. All
kde applications seem to wait for a ~30s timeout when starting up (except
okular), or displaying the file open/save dialog.
Suspend doesn't work, either; according to /var/log/pm-suspend.log it doesn't
even try calling pm-suspend. After logging out and back in, suspend is not even
available in the menu.
This has already happened to me multiple times.
