- What I was doing when the application crashed:

After a system update on 2013-10-19, certain submenus in Kickoff no longer open
but instead crash KDE. Opening Edit Applications will result in a crash as
well. This is a very recent problem and does not happen with all Kickoff
submenus. Looking at the stack trace, it seems to have something to do with the
icons (but what do I know).

If you have any hints on how to actually pinpoint, say, the offending icon, all
guidance is appreciated and I'd be glad to help.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
