            Bug ID: 309786
          Severity: wishlist
           Version: 4.9.2
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Summary: System settings should enable you to set the hostname
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: abrahams at acm.org
          Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: general
           Product: systemsettings

It ought to be possible to set the hostname from System Settings. The two
locations I know need to be modified (there might be more) are /etc/hostname
and /etc/hosts. The only way I know of to change them is with direct editing
-- not something that should be inflicted on the casual user.

Reproducible: Always
