Well, if you enable the "mplayerthumbs" thumbnailer, you should also have
"mplayer" installed.

Alternatively, you may use the ffmpeg-based video thumbnailer, which is also
part of kdemultimedia, but requires compilation with ffmpeg libraries
installed.
