Bug ID: 312379
Summary: Mouse pointer threshold should always be greater than
zero
Classification: Unclassified
Product: systemsettings
Version: 4.9.4
Hardware: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_mouse
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Reporter: mseifert at error-reports.org
CC: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
The user should not be able to set the threshold for the mouse pointer to 0
pixels. Doing so results in pointer jumps as described in bug #219867 (see also
comment 11 by me).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set the pointer threshold to 0 pixels
2. Mouse the mouse pointer somewhere on the screen
3. Stop the movement for a moment
4. Continue the mouse movement
Actual Results:
Mouse pointer will jump to the upper screen edge, left screen edge or upper
left corner.
Expected Results:
Mouse should move normally as expected.
Tested with xorg-server 1.12.4.
