Summary: GHNS (get hot new stuff) button placement is not
uniform and it's often wasting space
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux

Hardware: Archlinux Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: general
Product: systemsettings
Hello, I'm testing 4.10 beta2 right now. Seeing this "get new effect" or "get
new script" button on the right side of window just hurts my eyes. It's wasting
_so much precious_ space people! Not to mention that getting new effects or
scripts is just one or two-time deal. GHNS button works quite well in the
"Application appearance" -> "Colors" module because there's four other buttons
and list of schemes doesn't required all that space.
Second issue is non-uniformity of its placement. In one module is on the right,
in other module is on the bottom. In "Workspace appearance" button placement is
different in every single subsection - it just jumps all around the place.
Hope systemsettings usability improvement is on "KDE5" TODO list.
Anyway, 4.10 beta2 is looking awesome!
PS You can easily save some space by removing bottom "Help" button, it's
somehow duplicated in upper "help" menu - which is made for stuff like this.
Besides everyone knows F1 shortcut.
Reproducible: Always
