If this is in response to the problem just reported we are on the wrong 
platform.
I am now on FC17. This shows after the login screen-the desktop loads 
but shows
a blackscreen with the crash box on it-the krell monitor loads and shows 
normal
activity, but no graphics. It is not Nvidia-I installed their driver in 
case it was a Nouveau
glitch.
Now I get to boot three times to get sound and 2-5 times to get a desktop.
Should have stayed on 16 I guess. Had a desktop and sound at least.
If I can offer any info to help let me know, or I'll wait and hope an 
upgrade to FC18
might work.
