sudo apt-add-repository ppa:kubunto-ppa/backports -y

You clearly have made a typo in that commandline . Anyway, that is a downstream
upgrading issue. Ask in Ubuntu/Mint forum or other Ubuntu/Mint support channels
if you still have trouble in upgrading.
