Bug ID: 305261
Severity: normal
Version: 4.8
Priority: NOR
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Summary: Keyboard stops responding after clicking a GTK Combo
box
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: kde at suteki.org
Hardware: Fedora RPMs
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: general
Product: kde
In Fedora 17 running KDE 4.8.4 I have a somewhat annoying problem where
keypresses stop working in any GTK2 based applications after clicking on a
combo box. This behavior is consistent on about 40+ workstations that we are
using and is resulting in a lot of complaints from our users.
One application that reproduces this behavior 100% of the time is gigolo. If
you click the "Connect" button, then change the service type field to anything
and try typing in one of the input boxes the keyboard will no longer register
events. Right clicking twice in one of text entry field appears to free up
whatever is locking out the keyboard.
The behavior is the same regardless of if composting is enabled or not.
