Bug ID: 304872
Severity: crash
Version: unspecified
Priority: NOR
Assignee: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
Summary: plasma-desktop crashed during
kde-plasma-networkmanagement update?
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
Reporter: long at ku.edu
Hardware: Fedora RPMs
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Component: kded
Product: kdelibs
Application: kded4 ($Id$)
KDE Platform Version: 4.8.4 (4.8.4)
Qt Version: 4.8.2
Operating System: Linux 3.5.0-2.fc17.x86_64 x86_64
Distribution: "Fedora release 17 (Beefy Miracle)"
-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was logging in to KDE
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
My dock was missing and right-clicking the desktop background did nothing. I
discovered plasma-desktop was not running. When I looked in my
.xsession-errors I found:
/usr/bin/plasma-desktop: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib64/kde4/plasma_applet_networkmanagement.so: undefined symbol:
_ZN5Solid7Control18NetworkManagerNm0914compareVersionERK7QString
plasma-desktop(1286): Communication problem with "plasma-desktop" , it
probably crashed.
I also noted in my /var/log/yum.log:
Aug 09 12:14:33 Updated: 1:kde-plasma-networkmanagement-0.9.0.4-1.fc17.x86_64
Aug 09 12:14:34 Updated:
1:kde-plasma-networkmanagement-libs-0.9.0.4-1.fc17.x86_64
so I suspect the two are connected.
