I am using a NFS/NIS-Server and on the client side KDE4.7/8 is extremely slow.
With slow I mean starting KDE-apps, like konsole, okular or dolphin needs
nearly a minute till opening the window. And in Dolphin it needs minutes till
the files are shown. Firefox, thunderbird and non-KDE-apps are starting
immediately as well other windowmanagers like windowmaker are working
flawlessly. 

The server is OpenSuSE 11.4 and the client Opensuse 12.1 with KDE4.7/8.
