The bug appears to be related to gstreamer. Could you please upgrade to a newer
KDE (see http://kubuntu.org/ and try again? Alternatively it would be a good
idea to try with the phonon-backend-vlc to see if this wirks instead.

FWIW: I can't reproduce this here, using KDE 4.7.3 on Kubuntu 11.10
