Summary: In browser flash apps leave a "ghost" image on the
screen
Product: kde
Version: 4.4
Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: dav1dblunk3tt at hotmail.com
Version: 4.4 (using KDE 4.4.4)
OS: Linux
flash movies sometimes leave a "ghost" image on the screen that remains after
the flash has quit. This interacts badly with the display - including the
flash playing on top of it.
It can be fixed by switching to a text console and back.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
View a flash movie - strange ghost image is left on screen, appears to XOR with
text and window components placed on top of it. It is persistent even after
the flash has gone.
Actual Results:
View a flash movie - strange ghost image is left on screen, appears to XOR with
text and window components placed on top of it. It is persistent even after
the flash has gone.
Expected Results:
No ghost image
It can't be captured using ksnapshot.
Possibly related to dual head nvidia graphics set up using nvidia driver but
definitely only KDE.
The dual head aspect gives odd results - mostly the ghost image is placed where
the flash was playing but sometimes it is on the other display.
