In kde 4.6 all messages use proper plural form, this is fixed.

For the other issues you reported, the devels need some input what and how to
change the layout. Please consider that an english speaking developer can't
know the needs of all languages in kde.

Me as translator from de team does not have your reported issues in locale de,
only one minor issue with missing context for this string, which leads to a
wrong translation in german:
