kded is "kded4" for KDE4. If you've KDE 3 flying around on your system (as
well) kded will report the KDE3 version, otherwise you get an error about
"command not found".

The application you've been reporting to cause trouble seems the flashplayer,
though (and a very strage variant since it apparently intercepts at least rmb
clicks...) - so (esp. "just") de/installing this or that application shouldn't
have any kind of impact.

Please ensure that (the configured shortcut) you also cannot escape out of
other fullscreen applications (eg. s/mplayer uses "f" - so does vlc, but
probably escape should work in either application as well, browsers usually use
F11)

Also while you're in fullscreen mode and the window has the focus and you're
using a more custom focus model, you should not be able to see the dock at all.
