I let KDE run during the day with all "Startup"-services enabled but "Power
Management", and kded4 behaved sane and kept a constant RSS. :-)

So from my POV there's definitely something fishy about the "Power Management"
service.

BTW, I'm also using a notebook, yet with a relatively well-functioning battery.
However, the memory loss I'm observing does not seem as extreme as what Andres
is seeing, so maybe it really has something to do with battery state changes or
something...
