I'm also experiencing this problem, but it's not KDE's. Actually, it seem Xorg
is responsible. For instance, I tried with Xfce and the bug was still there.
Then I've found this thread
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-driver-synaptics/+bug/375905) in which several
people describes the same problem with different desktops.
