Summary: Power management doesn't work after reboot
Product: kde
Version: 4.6
Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: johnbugs at jabster.net
Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS: Linux
Hi.
I'm running KDE4.6.1 on PCLOS.
After a reboot, the Power Management settings do not seem to work. In order to
get the settings to work, I need to open the power management settings, and
change "When AC Adaptor is plugged in" to anything. Then change it back to the
setting I want (typically Performance). Apply, Overview (Apply again), and then
it works.
Basically, I set the screen to shut off after 12 minutes. I noticed that it
wasn't working when I woke up in the morning and the screen was still on. After
a couple of reboots and resetting of the power mgt profile, I figured out what
was going on.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Reboot. Screen stays on forever. Go into Power Management, change profile,
Apply, Overview, Apply, and the screen turns off like it should.
I am running a dual head setup if it matters.
