Version:           4.6 (using KDE 4.6.1) 
OS:                Linux

i'm using sabayon, which comes from gentoo
since i updated kde to latest version i experienced issues with calendar and
holidays
i've read on the internet that one way to set it needs to launch 
plasmaengineexplorer 
but whenever i do i get this error:
plasmaengineexplorer 
plasmaengineexplorer(8981): Session bus not found 
To circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash) 
export $(dbus-launch) 

KCrash: Application 'plasmaengineexplorer' crashing...
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit
sock_file=/root/.kde4/socket-zabbayon/kdeinit4__0
Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/drkonqi directly
drkonqi(8982): Session bus not found 
To circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash) 
export $(dbus-launch) 

it tells me the very same thing even after i installed drkonqi and i lunch dbus

as for demons when i type ps -A they are:

 8938 ?        00:00:00 dbus-daemon
 8993 ?        00:00:00 dbus-daemon
though i fear most dbus demons appeared after some attempt of mine...]

anyone can help?
