Version:           4.5 (using KDE 4.5.0)

After I enable/disable a "Desktop Effect" and click on "Apply", the system
hangs and I have to kill x-server (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) to use it. By "System
hangs", I mean that system does not respond to any input even though I am able
to move the mouse (cursor).

This same behaviour occurs when I change Application Appearance -> Style and
click Apply.

I must mention here that settings are saved correctly.

Reproducible: Always




I'm currently on KDE 4.5.1 and this behaviour existed even on 4.5.0 but not on
4.4.4.

OS: openSUSE 11.3 64 bit (KDE updated through
download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Distro:/Factory/openSUSE_11.3/)
