Summary: System broken after KDE 4.5.3 November update
Product: kde
Version: unspecified
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: charlesopondo at yahoo.com
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.2)
OS: Linux
My system is hopelessly broken after applying the November updates this
morning. A number of packages were upgraded but quite a number of important
ones (kdm, kdebase-*, kdebase-* plasma-* e.t.c.) were removed during the
upgrade. When I attempt to manually reinstall the removed packages I get an
error "Depends: [package] (>= 4:4.5.3) but 4:4.5.2[*] is to be installed" for
several packages. I have not changes my software sources. I believe this is a
severe problem!
Reproducible: Didn't try
