I still have problems but with plasma-desktop (nearly 200 Mbs. of memory in
just a day) in Kubuntu 10.04 LTS. However, I haven't reinstalled from scratch,
I just upgraded it.

I plan to install Kubuntu from scratch. I'll report back then.
