Version:            (using KDE 4.4.0)
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs

Open a terminal (konsole, xterm, or other) an launch 
an application like gwenview, kmail, etc...
Even if you terminate the line with a &, the terminal
is ‘polluted’ by messages from the application, for instance
here is some lines after I have launch kmail :

kio_pop3(7930) POP3Protocol::get: Finishing up list
kio_pop3(7930) POP3Protocol::pop3_open:

In consequence you cannot use this terminal anymore, since
the messages will appear whatever you are doing !
This is very problematic if you want to use ‘less’ or ‘nano’,
and the only solution is to open another terminal.
