Summary: Date time control module requires root log-in, should
                    pop password box
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: brucemcgovern at earthlink.net

Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

The Date & Time - KDE Control Module which comes up when you right click on
digital time clock on KDE desktop, and click on Adjust date and time, will not
save except in Root mode. Kubuntu generally does not allow log-in as root,
thus disabling the ability to change time zones, etc.

This is Kubuntu 10.04 Alpha 2

KDE 4.3.90 (KDE 4.3.90 (KDE 4.4 RC1) Kubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx alpha 2

Normally, Kubuntu supplies a password box in such cases. This would seem
necessary in this case.

This is on a Dell Vostro A860 laptop and I am running a live flash drive 4GB in
persistent mode.

Please forgive, this is my first bug report ever. Not sure I am in right place
