Notifications cover much too much space of the screen, and cover my workspace,
which I cannot see & click then.

I will attach a screenshot of typical notifications. The same notifications 
could be placed in much less space (kde3 had nice little kopete notifications,
kde4-notifications take 3-4 times as much space). They should always take the
minimum required height and width and should not have much decorated borders
for saving space.

I also think the close-buttons are not needed, a click on the notification on
non-button-space could achieve the same result.
