I used 'Configure Desktop' > 'Font Installer' and in the dialog that pops up
when the 'add' button is clicked I selected all fonts from my windows
directory.  Then I chose the 'open' option and for every single font I was
asked to enter the root password. In KDE 4.3 this was asked only once.
