Summary: System settings for spell checker pointing to
"Deutsch", whilst there is no such dictionary
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: volker27 at gmx.at

Version: (using KDE 4.3.5)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

I use German as my system language.

When I first tried enabling spell checking in Kopete or Kmail, it simply did
nothing. It showed, that the default language in the spell checker
configuration was set to "Deutsch". After changing that to "Deutsch
(Österreich)", a national version, spell check worked. The original option
"Deutsch" does not show up any more.

It never triggered any error message. The default setting should either be
changed, or finding no dictionary should trigger an error, I suggest.
