What I was doing when the application crashed:
Using Kubuntu Netbook remix I installed Umbrello and with the KPackageKit still
open full screen I pressed Alt+F2 to open the semi-commandline tool. Then I
typed in Umbrello, it suggested launching the application so I clicked that
option. A split second the crash reporter opened and I Alt-Tabbed to see what
all the desktop fuss was about.
I've previously reported an issue with the favourites navigation bar at the top
of the desktop and been told that it has since been recoded. Surprise, surprise
the icon for Kate (normally on the far right) was now upwards and drastically
left of the left-most icon. Everything is back to normal having hit the reset
application button though.
Any chance of the recode being backported as I do not wish to wait till June
for the next Kubuntu till this is fixed, or at least a pointer into the section
of code that needs backported?
