When you open the Menu and right click on an icon and choose "add to desktop"
nothing happens whether you are in desktop mode or even folderview mode. You
can only achieve this by dragging and dropping the icon to the desired location

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
open the Menu and right click on an icon and choose "add to desktop" 

Actual Results:  
nothing happens

Expected Results:  
icon should appear on desktop or in Desktop folderview widget
