Hi , this is a minor bug of image updating.

Try these:
For a album , fetch it's cover from internet , and restart amarok.
Set a custom cover for this album , you could see the left pane ( Local Music
in this case ) , the small image was not updated , while right click on it ,
choose Display Cover will get the new one.
