I second that wish. If kickoff would offer to open kmenuedit with the entry you
just have found in kickoff you don't have to go ways twice and you don't need
to search again. 

When you anyways are in kickoff in the submenu where the entry is in this
feature would be a "nice to have" because you don't have to repeat the same
route in kmenuedit. But when you don't go through the submenus in kickoff but
instead use its search then you don't know in which category/submenu the entry
is located. Then it sometimes gets complicated and long-winded when you want to
edit it and have to search for it in kmenuedit.

Especially this is the case when you have installed applications that don't
follow the KDE categories principle or, in Debian, only place itself into the
Debian menu - or, the most likely, when the user has another view of where the
application belongs to (e.g. who, apart from a developer, seriously would
expect a reminder like kteatime in *games*?).
