Today some additional information to the bug.

I see it has been closed, but I have reasons to believe this crash is NOT
caused by xine, but by kaffeine. Those reasons include:

1 After opening a 480p mkv file compressed with Theora, kaffeine does NOT
crash. But
2 After opening the same HD H264 files on another PC, using Totem (Gnome) with
Xine as a backend, the crash does NOT occur. 
3 Aditionally, I tried opening mkv files, compressed with the H264 codec that
are of lower resolution, aka lower than 480p, but Kaffeine crashes again.
