I also haven't seen this bug in 4.4 as described, but it didn't disappear
completely. Now instead of locking the keyboard, it stops the navigation
through windows (or desktops). By that I mean that I press an appropriate
control key (usually ALT), press tab, the list of windows (or desktops) appears
- and then immediately disappears with me still holding the control key. It's
not as severe, but it's still annoying :)
